Brief Answer:
cold exposure can worsen sinus symptoms

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The cold weather does worsen sinus symptoms, it causes congestion of the sinuses
If you are allergic to anything, continued exposure would also cause allergy symptoms.

In addition, cough /cold or the flu are also more common during winter. These are due to infections. They are more common because persons spend more time indoors and this makes it easier for viral/bacterial infections to spread from one person to the next.

Treatment of allergies:(1) avoiding the known allergen- if you think you may be allergic to something and you are not sure what it may be, allergy blood tests would help to provide an answer for you.
These can be done by your GP or an allergist.

(2) it would be hard to reduce cold exposure, but if you can , this would help with this aggravating factor

(3)use of decongestants and antihistamines. These are over the counter eg benadryl d, claritine d, allegra d, zyrtec d

Adding a topical steroid nasal spray would help with any nasal symptoms eg nasonex, nasocort, flonase, rhinocort

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
