Question : I have had some frequent bowel movements over the last 5 days which seems to have left a dull throbbing pain that comes and goes during the day. I have tried a prep H suppository but there at times in burning and discomfort afterwards. Movements are normal, but I cant get out of the cycle of the rectum being irritated. Any thoughts?

Hello. Hemorrhoids or an anal fissure can cause these symptoms. While the Preparation H might be helpful to some extent, you might need prescription Anusol HC suppositories, or, if it's an anal fissure, Botox injections.

The best thing to do is have your doctor check this out to see what the best treatment would be.
