Question : I have begun having episodes where I will feel an intense throbbing, as if I feel a pulse at belly button level. It begins gradually and increases in intensity to where I begin screaming in pain holding my belly button during the episode. As it came in it then gradually begins to disappear in intensity until it's gone . It lasts about 40 - 50 seconds. I'm worried about gallstones or kidney stones. But I m not certain about it. This is my third episode in 3 months and about 15 minutes ago it was the worst of the three times it has happened.
Brief Answer:
Gallbladder pathology.
Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
Thanks for query dear patient.
From history its most likely due to a gall bladder pathology.
Intense throbbing pain is usually a characterstic feature of gallbladder pathology.
I would suggest you to go for a Ultra sound abdomen initially.
This would help to rule out a gallbladder pathology or stones in bladder.
In case there are stones laproscopic removal can be done.
Follow up with ultrasound report.
Thanks!
