Brief Answer:
Better to go to ER if he is symptomatic.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
It is possible that what he threw up contains blood and there is a possibility that he has oozing in his stomach from the peptic ulcer/ erosions for which he is on Omeprazole.
So if he is symptomatic with abdominal pain, retching or vomiting, it would be better to take him to the ER.
It would be better to exclude/ treat any GI bleed early.
Best wishes,
