Brief Answer:
Possibly indigestion.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Bright green substance is commonly due to bile in vomit.
2. However, as there is no pain or any other symptoms, then possibly, it is more due to food indigestion or sleep disturbance.
3. Maintaining good hydration (Take fluids a bit more compared to normal) along with nutrition (protein rich diet) should be adequate.
4. If there is no abdominal distension and he is passing regular stools, it is very much normal.

As it is completely normal now, and there is no repeat episodes, not to worry.

Hope it helps.
