default
Posted on Mon, 21 Sep 2015
Question: Since this morning I can not breathe deeply without a tight painful feeling. I think it may be related to he two Advil Pm I took last night at 2 am without a full glass of water. I am on vacation staying with family. I am 69 years old, female and otherwise in excellent health. Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
Get Examined

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The symptoms are probably not related to the medicine
Pain related to breathing is from the lung or its coverings / at times, from local muscle spasm
Pain from Advil is most likely due to stomach irritation – burning, nausea and so on…

In the meantime, you may try Tylenol and simple Over The Counter (OTC ) antacid / Muscle relaxants help – but may need prescription

At this age, the wise option is too to the ER – An EKG is routinely done to exclude heart related problem… Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis / And that demands examination; probably investigation too; GET EXAMINED. It is wiser to look and see rather than wait and guess… better be safe than sorry

Good luck
God bless you
