Question : I was at a funeral today and it was quite upsetting. During the funeral I experienced tight-chest and pain. Is this Angina or is this just pain from emotion? I did not have any shortness of breath nor do I experience these symptoms during exercise.

                                    Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be Angina
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Sir
Going by description of your symptoms its like to be due to emotional stress. Angina is unlikely at your age but it can't be conclusively ruled out without getting ECG.
12 Lead Electrocardiogram will be very reassuring in consultation with your GP.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you

thanks for the quick reply. so is it possible that chest pain/tightness can occur from emotional stress that is not of ischaemic origin?
