What Causes Tightness And Tingling Sensation Around Neck?

Question: Hello, I am taking Venlafaxine for depression and have developed a tightness sensation around my neck/throat. I also have a tingling/numbness on my lips and face. Are these side effects common?

your symptoms tightness and tingling around neck and mouth are suggestive of allergic symptoms, if you started taking them recently. Avoid taking further doses (These medications should not be stopped abruptly , if you were using for many days)and better to consult/ call up your doctor and inform your allergy symptoms and ask to change your prescription.

Otherwise its not a common side effect of long term use of venlafaxine.
