Brief Answer:
Cause of right hip pain and burning sensation

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The focal burning, tingling sensation over right hip could be due to various causes like

: Bursitis - It is a fluid filled covering over prominent parts of bone which prevents bone damage while doing movements. It can get inflamed due to overuse.
It causes pain on pressure over hip, night pain.

: Osteoarthritis - It means hip joint degeneration and inflammation. It occurs due to age, wear and tear. It causes pain on walking, standing prolonged duration and running.

: Tendinitis - Tendinitis is inflammation of the band of tissue that connects muscles to bones. It causes pain on movement.

: Sciatic nerve or L1-2 nerve root involvement - It leads to severe burning pain, current like sensation, more pain on forward bending/sitting/standing and some relief in lying down (especially in prone position).

You can correlate your features and suspect. To manage it, you need to consult "Orthopaedician". He will evaluate your pain, hip, movements and range at hip, sensation over hip. After it, he will be able to make some differential diagnosis from above mentioned list. To confirm diagnosis, he may advise few tests like

: X ray hip joint
: MRI of hip and lower back (lumbar region)

After confirming diagnosis, complete treatment can be given.

Hope it will help you. If still in doubt, do let me know.

Thanks. Take care.
