Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based On your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. If the skin is shiny, along with cement feeling, it could be swelling of the toes.
2. Tingling sensation along with, could be early onset neuropathy, maybe due to associated calcium abnormalities.
3. Limb elevation in lying down position to reduce swelling in toes will help. Keep 2-3 pillows below legs in lying down position. Overnight, swelling should reduce.
4. Take Vit B12, B6 and alpha lipoic acid supplements for neuropathy. Have good Hydration. Calcium levels will come down. Take supplements for two weeks. Tingling will reduce.
5. If pain starts in the toes or swelling increases further after elevation or if there is any ulceration, meet your doctor. It could be nail infection with cellulitis of the toe( specifically if one toe is involved.
Hope it helps.
