Question : Nerve tingling internal sensation around left gland of Penis. Only burned upon urination once when I drank a Redbull, after that I've drank water with no burning. Also, it appears numb in a way. Like it would take serious stimulation to get me erect. No visual signs of infection. Doctor has prescribed 500MG of Ciprofloxacin just to see if it helps. Urine tests have turned up negative for UTI. My left foot is tingling as well almost as if it's lost circulation at times. Every now and then tingling shocks are felt down my leg.

Hi,

Peripheral neuropathy can sometimes present this way. This is a condition effecting blood circulation to the nerves. Most common causes include diabetes, hypertension, smoking, high lipids etc.

However, a number of these causes need to be ruled out based on physical exam. As of now, I suggest to get the above listed conditions evaluated by an Internist.

I understand the recommendation. No blood work was done so I'm sure that could shed some light on the situation. Now, in the mornings I have no tingling or numbness anywhere. It's only when I start to get active. Right now, it almost feels like an itch such as a allergic reaction itch in my urethra. I used Anti Bacterial soap to bathe for a few days due to lack of body wash. Could this cause the irritation that I'm feeling as well?
