Posted on Sat, 24 May 2014
Question: I have a tingling sensation in both my arms. I was taking anastrozole. Stopped taking it 5 days ago. My arms are still feeling like pins and needles all day and night. No numbness in my hands and fingers. It seems the sensation is solely in my arms and some of it in my chin and part of my face. Could you help me with what this condition diagnosis possibilities?

Brief Answer:
You need cervical neck evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Peripheral neuropathy secondary to drugs can very well explain tingling. However since your complaints are mostly on the arm, part of face and chin, I would also evaluate your cervical spine for possible nerve compressions. Your local treating doctor will know about the evaluation. I recommend you consult the treating doctor and discuss about it.

In the interim, you can be started on vitamin b12 supplements. It helps for all causes of peripheral neuropathy.

Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
