Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to Peristalsis of intestine

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Sir

The cause of this sensation is definitely not related to any intrabdominal cause as CT scan is apparently normal with no other associated complaints.

The tingling and crawling sensation is usually felt due to awareness of peristaltic activity of intestine (the squeezing action of intestine which propel the food forward). Intake of certain food like oily food, carbonated beverages, caffeinated beverage could also lead to increased peristalsis and produce such symptoms. It's absolutely harmless and there is no cause for concern.

How long does this typically last? I have felt this sensation for a few days now. Is there gas, bloating, belching associated with this as well? Also i forgot to mention previously my gi said that i have moderate to severe gastritis dont know if that factors into your conclusion.

Brief Answer:
Associated Gastritis could predispose to it

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Associated Gastritis which predisposes to acid and gas dyspepsia could predispose to increased peristaltic activity. It should get better in 3 to 4 days time but you should continue medication for 4-6 weeks.

I would suggest you the following which will definitely help.
1. Taking Combination of Pantoprozole with Domperidone will definitely provide you the much needed relief. Discuss about this with your doctor.
2. Avoid Spicy and oily foods
3. Eat small quantity frequent meals
4. Avoid tea/coffee/alcohol/carbonated beverages
5. Consume high fiber diet
6. Consume plenty of oral fluids

Wishing you great Health
