What Causes Tingling Sensation Near Elbow?

Question: My right arm is tingling off and on from the elbow down its been going on for about 3hrs now nothing I do makes it go away.... What could this be?
Brief Answer:
Peripheral nerve injury
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Since the symptoms are only from the elbow down it looks to be an involvement of a peripheral nerve, less likely to be a worrying brain issue, especially if only some fingers are involved.
Most commonly it is a question of a compression of the median (usually the palmar side of thumb, index and middle finger) or the ulnar nerve involving the last two fingers.
It might be just a transitory thing due to a hit or pressure on the nerve when keeping a position for a long time. If persistent, testing with nerve conduction studies is recommended to confirm the diagnosis.
