Question: I have pain in my leg from my hip to my ankle that feels like XXXXXXX horses and numbness with tingling in my toes and bottom of my foot. I Thought maybe a pinched nerve, because of the tingling, but my mother in law says maybe a blood clot. Should I be worried?

Brief Answer:
seems to be pinched nerve

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

How was your day?

Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.

i dont think this may be due to a blood clot. tingling, numbness, pain in hip and ankles, foot that is not associated with swelling are classical signs of a pinched nerve.

if medicines have given you no relief, better you should get an mri of lumboscaral spine done. this will tell us the exacted reason of the pinched nerve, most probable cause being a lumbar disc prolapse.

if this is confirmed then, using lumbar belt, physiotherapy, lumbar traction, short wave diathermy, laser treatment are the options that can be done. but before that, mri is a must.

let me know the reports of mri once they are done

I hope your question has been answered.

Take care,God bless.
