Question : my lip suddenly gets tingling sensation and then swells up; has been occurring for about a week along with occasional hives on various parts of my body

From the image attached, I feel this is a part of the generalized allergic reaction.

The culprit could be something that you ate earlier or it could be one of the medicines you might be taking if any.

It would be useful to identify the allergen, I would request you to remember any particular food you are allergic to and if you have eaten that just before you developed these hives and swelling in the lips.

Anti allergic medicines like cetrizine of ebastin would help relieve you of the symptoms.

So I would suggest you consult your local doctor and get yourself a prescription for the same.
