What Causes Toothache Post Root Canal Treatment?

Question: I had a crown put on my CRACKED tooth. It was Ok for about a week. After that it started hurting a little. I call the dentist but they said he was going out of town. I didn't think it was going to be two weeks on vacation. It went down hill from there with on and off pain. Well three days before he got back I was hurting so bad I went to a another dentist. He said the tooth was loose and the bone wasn't strong enough or something to that effect and would have to remove it. My question is, do I still have to pay for this?
Brief Answer:
Yes, you might require RCT & you require to pay for it
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
As per your history your teeth might require Root Canal Treatment before placing cap.
If this crack line is at root level then you should first go for RCT then post & core followed by capping.
Get an IOPAR done of teeth & proper clinical & radiographic diagnosis before treatment planning.
Visit your dentist for further treatment planning.
Hope I answered your query
Wishing you good health

Did you even read my question? The tooth has been REMOVED due to severe PAIN. I already paid for the procedure of a crown which I am trying to determine if my doctor rushed to put a cap on a potential exposed/cracked tooth. OR if they should have gone with removing the tooth (cheaper) OR put a cap on it to make money? I don't feel I should pay for a botched job? Please ask if I need to be more clear!
Brief Answer:
Yes, it should have been extracted earlier rather than capping
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Sorry i misunderstood your query but its very much clear now. Before planning capping dentist should always examine clincal & radiologic condition of a tooth.
But as per your history, your dentist suggested you capping without analysing proper clinical condition like bone support & other periodontal problem.Hence you should ask him to refund your money or adjust it while placing new teeth.
