On Dec.28th, I visited my urologist who examined my prosate and did an ultrasound test of my bladder because I was experiencing what I considered excessive urination. He concluded that both my prostate and bladder were normal and that what I felt was excessive tines of urinating where not abnormal at all.
The appearance of blood in my urine and the swelling of my belly only occurred in the last 2 to 3 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/73 - on Tamsulosin regularly - trace of blood in urine - wants to know the cause/ailments -a bit swelling of belly for 2 to 3 days - Also noted additional information about your visit to the Urologist recently on Dec 28 - prostate examined and ultrasound done - for excessive urination - nothing abnormal -
The possible causes for your age are:
Congestion of the prostate
Mild infection that gave frequency/excessive urination too
Causes of bladder are just ruled by ultrasonography
Crystalluria/ small undetectable stone
I would advise you to go for the tests of Urine: Routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
This may give an idea.
Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen will help for genitourinary system and in general also to give a clue for swollen belly.
I hope you do not have any symptoms related to the gastrointestinal system.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
