
What Causes Tremors In The Hands Of An Alcoholic?

Question: my friend is a heavy drinker and smocker and about a year a go his hands and now his body has a tremor, is it possible that he has parkinsons? he is not yet 50 years old.

Tremors are withdrawal effect of alcohol and I think this is not parkinsonism. In addition parkinson diagnosis needs tremor, bradykinesis and rigidity.
In addition the parkinson often develops gradually over the years and mostly occurs after 60 years of age.
