Question : For about a week my left cheekbone area has been twitching. It happens quite frequently and is painless but irritating. I feel like it is starting to get slightly numb. Is this cause to worry?

As far as the twitching on the left side of the face is concerned, it can be because of the facial nerve palsy this occurs secondary to exposure to cold or any injury. Nothing to be panic, consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of nerve regenerating drugs like vitamib B6 and B12. Avoid exposure to cold.

okay, I was worried it might be a stroke. I don't remember any injury. could it be from just a bump? I did just finish taking amoxicillian for a sinus infection.

Even secondary to sinus infection you can feel some heaviness or twitching in the maxillary sinus region. Nothing to worry, it is not stroke. You can complete the course of antibiotics and take the previously prescribed medicines. You need to get the sinusitis treated by consulting an ENT surgeon.
