Question : Hii Sir,

I wanted to take your suggestions about how to go ahead with this recent problem which i am facing. The upper lids of my right eyes have been continuously twitching from last 10 days. Though there is no pain, it feels like some force is pulling the eyes inside. The twitching subsides in some time, say 1 min, but repeats regularly in the day. This is the very first time when i have been encountered with such a problem.

I read articles about the twitching of eyes. I found that the prominent causes for the same are stress and lack of sleep. I wound like to mention that i am not undergoing any stress problem and i sleep for 8 hours daily. Further, i don't have any vision related problems.

I do sit on computers for a stretch of 10 hours. But, i often exercise my eyes by looking at trees, for 2 minutes, outside the windows after an interval of half an hour.

Kindly suggest what is the cause of the problem and how should i proceed to get this problem cured.

Thanks for your query.

There can be many causes of eyes twitching including dry eyes and infection of eyes (blepharitis).

I recommend that you use refresh eye drops for 2 days sos. If this does not work, then antibiotic eyes drops like moxifloxacin eye drops 2 drops in both eyes twice a day for 3-5 days will help.

Alongwith, please clean your eyes with cleaner water.
