Brief Answer:
Probably related to GERD...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is probably related to GERD. Here the contents of undigested food and acidic secretions of stomach regurgitate into the food pipe to cause discomfort.

It is well known fact that some food like caffeine, high fat and large meal can precipitate GERD. Thus the rolling sensation after coconut made food or heavy dinner.

I suggest that he avoid coconut containing food and eat small dinner. Avoid alcohol and smoking (if any). Make sure the dinner is couple of hours after dinner. Sleeping in an semireclined posture will also help. If he is over weight, encourage him to loose weight.

If symptoms are severe proton pump drugs along with prokinetic drugs will help him. These are prescription only medicines which your local doctor can write after physical examination.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
