What Causes Uneasiness In Eyes And Headache?
Question: Dear Doctor,
I use specs and my power is SPH CVL AXIX SPH
D.V plus0.5 Plus0.75
N.V Plus1.5 Plus1.75
One month back I started feeling uneasinnes of the eyes and headache too , when i read small fonts. At time the uneasiness of the eye and pain around the eyes lasts for more than a day. I never consulted a doctor, as it subsided, but now again i am unable to even look at small fonts witout specs and even with specs I cannot do it continuously . I use computer from 9 to 5 and hence I find it difficult as I am getting headache (not so severe) on and off. Also at times, viewing certain bright colours (or even light) also triggers off my uneasiness.Kindly advise doctor.

With your age the problem is presbyopia. Every one at this age face this problem. It is caused by weak accommodation, therefore things that fall within near vision distance are not clear.
My recommendation is first get your near vision correction.You might have to use a near vision specs for computer. Take anti glare lens in your specs . Now you will look clearly to near object including computer. If possible fit anti glare glass in front of your computer screen. Never use computer continuously for long time. You will develop dry eye. Take break and blink. Apply refresh eye tear drop 2 times.
