What Causes Unexplained Lightheadedness?

Question: I've been feeling lightheaded and as if I'm going to pass out for a week now, although I haven't actually passed out. NO other symptoms. I've seen a neurologist and a cardiologist and they haven't found any cause. The neurologist suggested it might be a viral infection. Is there a way to check for a viral infection if you don't know what virus to look for? Thanks.
Brief Answer:
No specific test for virus cannot be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
I hope your blood pressure and blood sugar has been checked. Are you properly eating food? I would suggest you to get routine haemogram tested but I would not suggest you any specific viral test. There is no need to worry as even if it is viral infection then it is self limiting. You can take rest for 2-3 days from work.
Hope I answered your query
