What Causes Unilateral Numbness In The Face And Hand In An Elderly Person?

Need to exclude transient ischemic attack/minor stroke.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.
I have noted your clinical details. Based on that, we need to exclude a diagnosis of transient ischemic attack/minor brain stroke. In your case, we need to exclude reduced blood supply to the right side of brain, which can cause numbness of left side of face, and left hand. A brain scan may be needed, if symptoms persist. Aspirin should be started, if needed, after the CT scan of brain.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
