What Causes Unilateral Weakness In Upper And Lower Limbs?

I am a 64 year old XXXXXXX woman. I fell down 1 year back all of a sudden and could not understand why. I also started facing problems in lifting my left leg and left hand soon after but it was not very prominent. However, the condition kept worsening and now after quite a few falls and extreme dififculty in movement for left leg/left hand, I had MRI done. Doctors are saying vertebrae C4-C5, C5-C6, C6-C7 have thin opll. Disc is also seen in indenting thecal sac and existing recess. Thin C5-C6 level further compensating spinal canal. All cervical i.v. discs are showing features of dehydration as Hypointense in long TR/TE pulse frequencies. Cervical vertebrae appears normal in height and is showing few osteophytics spicules and end plate changes. No evidence of infection. They are asking me to go for neuro-surgery and stating dislocation is still happening. I do not want to have surgery at this age due to the risks. Please suggest best medicines and excercise/yoga/physiotherapy which can help keep the condition in check. I am ready to go the Ayurvedic way too but not surgery

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Unilateral weakness in both upper and lower limbs need to be evaluated for other causes like brain lesion.
Cervical disc related unilateral symptoms is less likely.
The Mri report is also not showing such features.
Have you consulted a neurologist yet?
Is there any history of headache, vomiting, fever, decreased vision, seizure, loss of consciousness?
Any urinary complains?
Any complaints in right upper and lower limb?
Atleast get a CT head with contrast done.
Upload previous prescription of your treating doctor for evaluating clinical examination findings.
