Question : my mother has recently got a nasty looking rash on her legs. It don't hurt or itch but looks really bad. She's just turned 66. Regards

It is looking like purpura ( bleed under skin).
Please get her platelet levels checked.
Also get a venous Doppler of legs done.
This will help in riling out varicose veins.
She can apply liquid paraffin in day and a mild steroid lotion like Mometasone in night.
This should give her relief.
