Question : I've been having upper abdominal cramping/spasms for many months on the right side. My Dr palpated my upper right side and is considering a possible dx of gallbladder disease. It was quite painful when she was examining me. Now my left side mid-abdomen is starting to cramp as well. It feels like a pulled muscle but goes away within a few minutes. I have no nausea or vomiting or fever and no weight loss or gain. Any ideas?

With only those symptoms it's difficult to pinpoint the underlying cause. Along with gall bladder causes, ulcers, liver causes and intestinal issues can present like this.
Ideal way is to get investigations done rather than relying on clinical examination.
Investigations that can help are ultrasound, stool examination and if needed scan and endoscopy.Let me know if any investigations has been already done.
So consider getting investigations done.Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards
