Question: I am scared I have hiv, I had intercourse with a sex worker with a condom in bali, and I have two elisa tests come back negative....one at 4 weeks one at six weeks. But I have upper back/middle back aches and soreness, also, soreness in my legs, and sometimes my ankles feel tender and stiff... I am really worried, I can't think about anything else.

Brief Answer:
Chances of HIV transmission is nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic. I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.

If the intercourse is protected the chances of transmission of HIV is nil.You can allay fears if no other risk exposure.
Elisa tests at 4 & 6 weeks is not conclusive though helpful.Conclusive results will be after 3 months.

If the person is negative there is no chance of transmission.
You can go for HIV 1&2 RNA PCR at this stage to relieve your anxiety.

You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
