Brief Answer:
Prostate enlargement, urinary tract infection should be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The need to urinate during the night can be caused by several reasons including urinary tract infection, prostate enlargement, diabetes.
If you have burning while urinating, infection is most probable. If your urine stream is weak, prostate issues are possible. Diabetes can give also thirstiness and bad smelling urine.

Condition called GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) can be the main cause of acid reflux symptoms during the night. You may have some nausea with it as well.
Asthma is strongly associated with GERD. It can give shortness of breath you have.
Lack of good sleep during night gives fatigue during day.

Here is what you should do:
- have urine analysis, PSA level and glucose level checked
- avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, fried foods, coffee, orange juice, chocolate
- do not eat before sleeping (last meal should be two hours before sleeping)
- put additional pillow under your head when sleeping
- consult pulmonologist and have spirometry done - asthma needs to be treated
- start Omeprasole 20 mgs a day (should be prescribed by your doctor)

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
