Brief Answer:
It may be an infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hello

There can be many reasons for the bright red color of uvula

The most common cause would be an infection of the oral cavity and uvula , which will make the uvula look bright red.

The second cause may be an allergy to something which she may have eaten recently.

The third reason may be due to a condition called as quinke's disease , which is characterized by swollen and red uvula.

For the time being i would like you to ask her to do warm salt water gargles 2-3 times a day and avoid hot and spicy food.

If the redness does not subside by 1-2 days , or she develops fever or increasing pain , i would like you to meet your ent doctor , who will examine her and guide you appropriately.

Take care
