Question : My girlfriend use ovral for about 15days to stop her periods. But aftr she stopped to take this medicine she suffered from some trmendous abdomen pain..then suddenly some clotting liquid came out with some sudden peculiar structure..then she had bleeding through her vagina..what do u think? What has happened to her?? Is she alright? Is she pregnant? But we didn't get in any intercourse..but I masturbate her one night..what will be the case u r think off!! Please reply urgently..& lastly she also has polycystcic ovary. & she took thus medicine for the irregularity of her periods.

Hi,I am here to help you.In all likelihood she can't be pregnant without intercourse.Many a times patients of poly cystic ovaries have irregular periods and their uterine lining is thickened when they do not menstruate monthly and when with the regestrone withdrawal bleeding is induced it can be heavy, associated with clots and some shreds which are nothing but uterine lining.Hence nothing to worry. Don't mind but are u sure?? But she missed her periods now..her bleeding is not proper like other menstruations...& she had abdomen pain when she urinate..Is she safe completely?? Is this any side effect of using ovral L without consulting any doctor, just to stop the periods if that will occur?? Please explain elaborately..we both are very tensed.

Hi, she is not pregnant and this is because of increased thickness of the uterine lining which is because of polycystic ovaries and also due to ovral L but it's not a side effect.For being doubly sure you can do a urine pregnancy test with a kit available at the chemist.In all likelihood it will be negative and will reassure you.

Okk doctor thnx a lottt...& lastly 1thing that haunts me & my gf. The thing that came from my gf's vagina looks like tissue having some sack like structure which I mailed actually..& after it came there was,no bleeding & no pain at all for few mins. But few mins later some deep red colour bleeding occurs & then it stops after a while...so all this sign confirms that she is safe from pregnancy...Is it??
#sorry again for arguing with same ques.but as we r just 20yrs of age. So we r very much afraid of this strange kind of thing that came.

Hi, the thickened uterine lining will also appear like a tissue but best way to confirm is to do a urine pregnancy test which is easily available at the pharmacy over the counter.This will settle all your doubts.Keep in mind that this should be done once bleeding is stopped and there is no spotting even.
