Question : I had a total hysterectomy 1.2 years ago secondary to "complex atypical hyperplasia" which was successful Just recently, I have noticed blood. I also have some cramping. I have heard that cells can spread with surgery (laproscopic) What can I expect at this point since this is obviously not normal.
I forgot to tell you that my ovaries were removed too.

Brief Answer:
pap smear testing
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, after total hysterectomy for malignant changes it is very important to have yearly pap smear testing to rule out stump carcinoma.
In my opinion visit your routine gynecologist for examination and get a pap smear of the vault done.
In case there is something abnormal then visit your oncosurgeon.
All the best.

Brief Answer:
pap smear must
Detailed Answer:
Yes mam, stump carcinoma is always a risk after hysterectomy even if the cervix was fully removed.
This is the reason that yearly follow up is advised with pap smear testing.
So don't take the bleeding symptom lightly.
