What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Pain In Right Hip?

Question: Hi there,
I got my period a week early for 2 days quite light. Usually my period is very regular and also a fairly short lenghth. Now when my period is due I have found last 2 days when I wipe there is a small amount of brown discharge on paper. This only happens once a day. Also been having pain in my right hip on and off.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It can be a sign of pelvic inflammatory disease ie you might be having infection

Generally they have white discharge with pain but brown discharge can also be there.

I will advise you to get the brown discharge get tested for fungal and bacterial culture and then start medicines accordingly.

It is not something to be very worried but about but needs to be investgated for sure.

Very unlikely to be signs of pregnancy.

But still to confirm it i want you to do a pregnancy test with a UPT kit .

It costs cheap and is available in all pharmacy. The instructions on how to use it & how to read the test is given on the Kit Box.

Or even better is to do a pelvic sonography. That way it rules out both pregnancy and detects any infection also.
