Question : I have fibroids and scheduled for surgery in two months times. I have just returned from asia an 8 hour plane flight and have started bleeding, this is 15 days early. Should I go to my GP?
Brief Answer:
If the bleeding is heavy you should
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
The irregular cycle is definitely caused by fibrour.
Taking tranexamic acid should definitely stop the bleeding for the time being.
Tranexamic acid can even be taken upto 500mg every 6 hours.
But still if the bleeding is heavy visiting your GP and getting your haemoglobin levels tested would be good.
If the issue persists consider getting the surgery done even before 2 months.
Hope this helps
