What Causes Vaginal Itching?

Kindly provide the results of lab tests you did...
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Itching on your vagina, from what you are describing, makes me think about:
- vaginal thrush (fungus might have been reported in your papsmear or vaginal swab testing; Can you provide a report of the tests you did?
- allergy: any new clothes perfumes/detergent or any new intima-cleanse you might be using recently
- using non-cotton panties can also be a cause
- reaction to condoms used when having sex
- diabetes; sometimes, one of early signs of diabetes is vaginal itching
- hormonal imbalance
So, if I was your caring doctor, would exclude the above-mentioned problems first.
Looking forward to have the papsmear or other lab tests results in!
Thank you!

Thank you.
Followings tests&itch-relieving remedies...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
You can take a blood sample and run the following tests:
- fasting blood sugar
- HbA1C
- female hormones panel (DHEA-S, Estradiol,Total Estrogen, Progesterone, Pregnenolone, Total and Free Testosterone, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)
- check for thyroid function (TSH, Free T3)
Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
With regards to relieving itchiness, I advise to:
- wash your genitalia with warm water and hypoallergic feminine wash
- rinse with water well
- then, rinse with chamomile tea
- dry well with a soft cotton tissue
- apply Greek (natural) yoghurt
- if no improvement, then, can apply a mixture cream of Metronidazole+Nystatin
Hope it was of help! Wish fast recovery!
