Question : Hi. I had sex with my husband yesterday and there was no bleeding. We had sex this morning and there was bleeding during and afterwards. I had my last pap smear 3 months ago and it was normal. I get them every six months because I had a cone operation for dysplasia three years ago. All paps normal since that time. My period is due in a couple of days. I do not take birth control and my age is 43. Do I need to worry?

Hi,

I understand your worries about bleeding.

This bleeding is your preponed periods and nothing to worry about it. It is normal for you to have such episodes of bleeding at beginning of periods.

I don't think you need to worry about cancer or anything associated with it.
