Question: My husband has visible veins on his scrotum. Last week one vein started to bleed.
He put pressure on it and it stopped, until this afternoon when it started to bleed again.
He is 87 years old. He takes a lot of Ibuprofen for arthritis pain.
He has vericose veins in his legs.

Elderly skin can bruise easily and some people have skin like transparent tissue paper.These changes make the skin less durable, and more susceptible to damage.Skin fragility with underlying nutritional deficiency can cause bleeding from otherwise dilated veins on scrotal skin in association with varicose veins (often due to valve incompetence).
