Brief Answer:
Common complaint in people with migraine types of headache

Detailed Answer:
Good afternoon sir. My name is Dr. Saghafi. I am a neurologist and headache specialist from the XXXXXXX Ohio area of the world.

What you've described is a common complaint among those who suffer from migraine types of headache. People talk about "flashing lights" or "popping flashbulbs" or sudden "brightening" without any obvious light devices, cameras with flashes, or other luminous objects which can then, be followed within a few moments to as long as 1 hr. afterward by other symptoms such as feelings of nausea, vomiting, malaise, and then, headache.

Therefore, if this is the very 1st time you are experiencing these symptoms or this is the very first time you are experiencing any type of a headache then, I would recommend that based upon your age this be reported to your doctor immediately since people of your age should not typically be complaining of this picture for the first time in their lives.

On the other hands if this is just a more intense form of things you've had happen to you before or when you were much younger then, it is likely benign and does not need to be chased down diagnostically.

Thank you for the chance to answer your question. Happy New Year to you and yours and I hope you feel better soon.

If this information has been helpful would you do me the favor of some written feedback and a STAR RATING of the answer? STAR RATINGS are very helpful to the doctors because folks pay a lot of attention to a physician's rating when deciding on asking a specific question or to return for service.

Should you have no further questions or comments to place- CLOSING THE QUERY would be as greatly appreciated as well.

And of course, in the future I'm happy to answer more items for you personally by going to the following website and writing to me:
