Question: I have been having some occasional problems with my sight. I occasionally think that I see a lion on the side of the roadway, but it usually turns out to be a rock. I've also thought that a giant bolt made of wire was rolling down the highway towards my car only to find out that it is a guardrail. I wouldn't be concerned except for the fact that sometimes I swerve or slam on the brakes. I also thought there was a bear at a park while I was walking and it turned out to be a woman. I am mostly concerned with this occurring while driving. Would you know what might be wrong with my eye sight?

I wasn't taking the ambien when it happened as the ambien was making me vomit occasionally and I wouldn't remember certain things. My Psychiatrist prescribed it because I was not sleeping much at all and he thought maybe the lack of sleep was causing me to have issues. I just had too much energy and didn't want to sleep.
After hearing about the lady that went crazy on the airplane after taking ambien, I have not been taking it unless I absolutely need to.

I had the same problem a few times in college and I was not taking anything then either. Could it be from lack of sleep in that case?

Should I get a test other than the eye chart that you read at the doctor's office? The Psychiatrist I asked online about this said it is a vision issue.

I am having trouble with night driving as well. The rays from the lights are really distracting and look like they are coming into my car. If it's raining or snowing and nighttime, I can't drive as I can barely see anything.
