It seems like you are having some food allergy. Did you eat anything unusual today or last night ?

Also since how long you are having these problems ?

If vomiting is severe then you need to go to hospital and get IV injections but if it is mild get a prescription of Ondansetron and use it. Avoid spicy and non veg food , Avoid Citrus fruits.

Vomiting bile. nothing left in my stomach. could it be the stomach flu?

Stomach infection usually will be associated with Loose motion , I still suspect Food Allergy as Hives usually occurs in food allergy.

Also flu usually be associated with Fever, hence I strongly suspect food allergy.

Should I get checked? It gets better if I don't do too much. Gatorade is helping. How long should I wait before going to ER?

You can wait for 1-2 days unless Vomiting is persistent and you are not able to eat or drink or your Hives are increasing.
