What Causes Vomiting, Excessive Sweating, Loss Of Appetite And Frequent Bowel Movements?

Question: For about the last 4 months, about once a month I have felt very sick. Forced vomiting, sweats, don't feel like moving or eating, bowl movements every 20 mins, lots of gas, and by the 2d day nothing left to poop, but still putting out slime and it gets some black in it. Takes me about 3 full days to where I can move. When I do move I have uncontrollable shaking of all my muceles, can't drink out of a glass, when I walk my legs are very shakey. This last bout I felt vertigo and had a hot flash in my front left side of my head. Like my brain was shaking. I used to drink a lot but have since quit. I have an appointment with gastro in about 2 months. I am pre-diabetic and have chronic hepatitis C. (found out in 1997) Thought I might have had a XXXXXXX stroke this last time. Thnx. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
you need to get clinically examined and investigated thoroughly without any further delay..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM,

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Well all these symptoms that you've described , needs a thorough work-up and management without any further delay..

No, unfortunately, 2 months is not an option here, as you need to be preferably hospitalized for a detailed work-up and prompt management in this regard..

To start with, there's a need to do Blood gas analysis, hemogram, electrolytes, liver function test with serum ammonia level, amylase , lipase, renal function assay , stool routine culture study with occult blood and coagulation profile as well as USG whole abdomen followed by correction of fluid and electrolytes (intravenously, if required) and several other necessary managements which are done systematically in hospital set-ups..

Those shaking, vertigo, dizziness are most likely due to ongoing fluid and electrolyte loss with possible drop in blood pressure and the black stool must be investigated for any occult blood, which in long term can cause lowering of hemoglobin , so they must be corrected first, and later on if those shaking and other symptoms(flashes) still persists then may be CT scan of head will be required..

So please call for immediate help, and let me know how you stay in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
