default
Posted on Wed, 19 Oct 2016
Question: I feel sick, like wanting to throw up for no reason, I have no energy. Oddly enough I ate with no problem. However I did feel full quicker than normal. I had a headache and sinus pressure. I went to the ENT doctor and he gave me medicine for my sinus pressure. I felt better and did sleep well. But, my nausea has not gone away since Friday and today is Tuesday.

Brief Answer:
Diagnosis can only come from examination

Detailed Answer:
Good evening and thank you for posing your question.

Your symptoms could be due to a variety of issues from GI to migraine headaches. The only way to know what is really going on for sure is to have a good physical examination.

A large number of "sinus congestion" problems are actually mistaken for upper respirator ailments when in actuality they are MIGRAINE HEADACHES or variants of migraine headaches. The fact that the ENT treatment was only partially helpful with nausea continuing is supportive evidence for this statement.

Also, if you've not seen a doctor yet as it says in your introductory PATIENT PROFILE above then, I think a good physical examination will be able to tell whether there could be a GI issue (peptic ulcer, gastritis, gluten or lactose intolerance) which would probably be the most likely system to be associated with continuous nausea. Also, feeling fuller more quickly is termed EARLY SATIETY and could be another sign of a peptic or gastric ulcer that should be identified either by barium swallow studies or endoscopy.

Therefore, my best advice is that you see your primary doctor and undergo a complete physical examination with possible laboratory and/or other diagnostic testing procedures. This is the best way of getting a solid diagnosis.
