What Causes Vomiting In Cihid After Drinking Milk?

Question : Our baby is 6 weeks old, For last 2-3 days we are noticing that sometimes after/during feeding she sometimes vomits milk. We try to hold her straight and help her to take the burp. But for few weeks we feel that some cough is obstructing her while she breathe or she feeds. Sometime she opens mouth which seems like, she is feeling to vomit but doesn’t vomit. Around 4 weeks back, she got cold and we mentioned the same cough problem to Pediatrician and he prescribed us this medicine – T minic and Mucolite for 3 days. Though she is not having cold and nose running now but we still feel that she has cough somewhere in here throat due to which she doesn’t feel very comfortable. Could you please advise if we can give Mucolite to ease the Baby from cough problem, or is there any other steps we should take.

Brief Answer: relax. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for your query. I understand your concern. Relax,there is nothing to worry. Babies swallow mucus which at times irritate and they vomit it out. Yes you can give mucolite drops 10 to 12 drops three times a day. Give steam inhalation. Wait for couple of days and in case symptoms persist get her evaluated by pediatrician as physical examination of chest will be needed for further management. Hope I have answered your query.
