Posted on Tue, 8 Jul 2014
Question: I have a warm flush in left foot just came on last weekend, it happens more when sitting and standing, not so much when lying down, ive had left side nerve twithes and tingeling for about a year or more but too bothersome, this sensation is not painful (warmth) but its concerning. When lying down that same foot twitches in arch, I was in accident 3 years ago, hit from behind and I was in back seat and car was totaled due to fram damage, saw a chiropractor at the time and she see was always adjusting my spine but i never got an mri or scan as i was not in pain, the warmth started ;ast weekend, I have recently begun alot of calastynic workouts, hopping, jumping, squating, etc T-25 program. idk if its all related, i also hav anxiety at times....any ideas about warmth?? and agin warmth and arch twitch in left foot just started last weekend...

Brief Answer:
Due to compression of spinal nerve root

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.
Due to compression of spinal nerve root there can be tingling twitches and warmth in foot.

I will advise you to do MRI spine
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Another possibility of sympathetic nerve injury.

Ok thanks alot. I thought it was diabetes but hat was cleared lol. So youre saying it can be teeated? Can it be corrected? I was also reading online that cancer of the spine causes this. Is that possibke or unkikely? I have a doctor appt next week for annual physical and will request imaging etc. Is this life threatenjng in any way? Should i be concerned about brain tumors? Thanks again

Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Possibility of spine cancer at your age is very less.

It doesn't look life threatening ,but severe nerve compression is not good.

Yes possibility of space occupying lesion in brain can be possible, for this you need imaging study according to clinical examination.
