What Causes Warts On The Buttocks?

Information
Detailed Answer:
Hello -
It's hard to say with absolute certainty without seeing them, but they may be comedones (pimples), folliculitis (pimples that happen around hair follicles), or epidermoid cysts (benign). Sebaceous glands can get blocked by oil, sweat, moisturizers, or get small infections or get irritated from sitting for long periods of time, or from clothing.
If they are not bothering you, I recommend putting hot (not so hot it burns your skin!) wet washcloth on them for a few minutes a few times a day. That should help them heal and resolve.
I recommend not squeezing them as this can lead to infection or scarring.
If there is no significant and spreading redness around them or pain, then they are not worrisome.
I hope this information helps.

Warts are rough and sort of variegated irregular shaped. Skin tags are smooth, and they have a narrower stalk that they are on. Without seeing them I can't say, but warts and skin tags don't usually look like something that you would want to squeeze and expect something to come out of (even if nothing came out of yours).

Thanks for sending the picture. They look too smooth to be warts. Am I correct in thinking they are smooth?
And they don't look like fluid filled blisters which is what herpes would look like.
Also these aren't actually on your genitals/mucus membranes, so I think much less likely to be STDs.
They may be skin tags, which can be removed easily by your doctor. Skin tags usually have a thinner base though. They may also be dermatofibromas, which are areas that have had some trauma and react with growth of fibrous tissue (and are benign).
If they have lumpy rough surfaces, it's possible that they are warts, but I would not expect them to be genital warts. As I mentioned above, they don't look rough in the picture.
They don't look worrisome, and I take back my previous recommendation to put moist heat on them as they don't look infected. Your best bet would be to see a dermatologist for removal that would result in a good cosmetic outcome.

Good plan.

That's a good plan. If the question isn't closed, after you see the dermatologist, I welcome you letting me know what they thought.
