Brief Answer:
Field defect

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
Such phenomenon are usually vascular in origin still there is no reason not to see the doctor as well as get the periphery of your retina examined. Though if there was a defect in the retina then the symptoms do not go away.
The findings will be normal but you can never be too careful.
Please do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
