Brief Answer:
The colour of the stool is due to Iron pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The dark coloured stool is due to Iron pill.It is natural.
For Gastritis, I prefer proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole 20mg twice daily instead of Pepto Bismal.Iron pill shouldn't be taken as it aggravates Gastritis. I also add Syrup Sucralfate 10ml thrice daily to my patients with similar complaints.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Please consult your doctor, preferably a Gastroenterologist , get examined clinically and get appropriate prescription.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
