What Causes Weakness And Pain In Legs Below Knees?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 Jan 2015
Question: Hi,

I feel weakness and my legs below knees always pains especially in morning while waking up. One major problem is my body shivers specially in cases of I am nervous e.g. I going to give an interview, presenting presentation, talk to my head bosses or sometimes usually happens. Also, when I put my leg or hand in particular position for 3-4 minutes as it is, its numb.

Kindly also suggest some yoga poses.

Many Thanks / XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Performance Anxiety Disorder most likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your query and concern.

Your symptoms are most probably related to anxiety related stress disorder/performance anxiety disorder.

You will respond most likely to group of drugs called anxiolytics like Clonazepam and beta blockers like Propananlol.

These drugs when used for 3-6 months will cause excellent resolution of symptoms. I feel that the doctor would have prescribed you the same medications.

Yoga postures particularly pranayam, brahmaasana and vajraasana are helpful to relieve stress. Consult an expert Power yoga specialist.

Thank you.
