Question : I had non veg food two weeks back. since then I am feeling weak as a result of that more sleep. my bp also increased from 120/80 to 150/100. I am having fever also with loose motions. so I feel I am having food poisoning. I took phenergan syrup but still I am feeling the same . please help me out.

Brief Answer: ..... Detailed Answer: Hi there. Thanks for writing. I think you might be suffering from gastroenteritis with symptoms of loose stools and fever. I would advise you to do the following: Drink ORS oral rehydration solution, tender coconut water etc. Have Toast,rice gruel etc. Take probiotics like lactobacillus. They help in maintaining normal gut flora. Take a paracetamol for the fever. Stop phenergan syrup Most cases of viral gastroenteritis will subside in 24-48 hours. Stress can also cause an increase in BP. However, you need to get your blood pressure checked again as it is 150/100 which is quite high. Hope this information was helpful.
